“The hand of man is the instrument of instruments” Aristotle. It is not because he has hands that man is the most intelligent of beings, but because he is the most intelligent of beings that he has hands. Indeed, the most intelligent being is the one who is capable of using the greatest number of tools well: but the hand seems to be not one tool, but several.
