Hijazi Style - Constructivism

The house of the Saudi architect Sami Angwai. Designed in Hijazi style architecture, and located in Jeddah.

Angwai’s home and the Hijazi style remind me of many similar structures in classical Indian homes. The open space in the middle allows nature, airflow, and light flow in and out of the home. The style also resembles a constructivism look with pure geometric forms, linearity, symmetry, repetition, and simplicity.

An inspiring work of art, with colors, styles, materials I adore that I was able to connect to our current topic of study.
